Kate Middleton and Emilia Clarke share a common goal, as both women are working with Nursing Now to bring awareness to the incredible work that nurses do all over the globe.
Nursing Now is “a global campaign aimed at raising the profile of nursing worldwide” per People. Back in February 2018, the Duchess of Cambridge helped to launch the Nursing Now 2020 Campaign when she visited the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and St Thomas’s Hospital, London. And now, Clarke has been revealed as the very first ambassador for the campaign.
Announcing Clarke’s new role, the Nursing Now Twitter account wrote, “We are delighted to announce our first ever #NursingNow Ambassador, @emiliaclarke, an incredible actress and global nursing champion.”
In a statement, the Game of Thrones star revealed, “I know from personal experiences, and my work with the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), that nurses are the backbone of healthcare services. However, they are undervalued and with policy change could achieve so much more in prevention and healing.”
Whether or not Kate and Clarke will cross paths in relation to the campaign is unclear right now, but both women are obviously staunch supporters of the amazing work that individuals in the nursing profession do on a daily basis.
